Hi, I’m Amy… thanks for visiting!
I founded Moondance Farm Studios in 2021 to showcase artwork and handcraft by Philly-based artists. It all transpired by happy accident, but it’s also quite fitting since I’ve been around artists my whole life.
Moondance gives me the opportunity to do what I love: curate, design, make and talk about art. Having a venue where I can try out my new fabric patterns and offer one-off art pieces has opened up a whole new creative well inside of me that I’m continually eager to explore.
I’m a lover of all things “home,” including interior design, and I relish the holistic home experience. I also love collaborating with other artists and generating ideas - there’s so much inspiration in the world!
I’ve been involved in the arts since I can remember - from making creations in my mom’s home art studio to being the Executive Director of an arts nonprofit where I curated over 40 art shows. I have degrees in Art History and Historic Preservation, and I studied “how to really see art” for four years at The Barnes Foundation (original location). I’ve worked for two interior designers and I did a short stint at the National Gallery of Art. Owning a retail business is a first for me (unless you count the burgeoning macrame plant hanger operation I had when I was 12).
When not in the shop or my studio, I’m hiking in the woods near my house, taking a day trip adventure to refresh my senses, eating a yummy alfresco bite, or strolling the tree-lined streets of Chestnut Hill where I’ve lived since 2000.
If you’re in the area, I hope you’ll come by to check out Moondance Farm Studios and say hello. There’s always something new on the horizon, so be sure to sign up for the mailing list to receive updates.
Wishing you artful inspiration every day!
